Very tasty food. Friendly service. Especially the now regular pop-up dinners are highly recommended from a culinary point of view.

Addendum: We were invited to La Moca for a clarifying discussion and were able to clear up this misunderstanding. I recommend this location and can only warmly recommend everyone to visit it once and experience the excellent food. To celebrate the day, we wanted to experience something special in a small group and decided to go to the pop-up restaurant of La Moca at the River. The menu sounded promising (with corresponding wines) and the location was appealing, but the price was already in the upscale category, which raised certain demands. Now for the evening. We had reserved for four and were brought to the table nicely. Thereupon the audience gathered a few introductory words from the boss about the course of the evening, which initially made us feel good. Then the meal began. The menu consisted of four courses, which is why the € 49 for the menu with wine pairing seemed justified. As a first course, a plate with different types of bread was provided for the table, which apparently were from our own production and three different types of butter. The taste was very tasty, but I usually expect this "course" as a greeting before the entree, at restaurants of a similar price range. In addition, the plates for the starter were forgotten and only handed out after about 5 minutes. This was followed by the second course in the form of spinach, pine nuts, fried egg yolk and goat's cheese foam. There was absolutely nothing to complain about and the tables were quickly set. The third course was a saffron risotto with green asparagus foam, but the kitchen had forgotten the fried sage leaves, which the waitress subsequently gave to all guests directly from a baking sheet. So far, all in all, everything was still fine and we had a wonderful evening. But then it became problematic with the dessert. After an hour had passed and some guests were already complaining, this was slowly applied table by table. There was rhubarb compote and Italian sweet bread, which we initially accepted incorrectly, did not have to be baked, but apparently had been baked beforehand. Coffee was served as a pairing with this course and also a grappa. After more than an hour and a half without dessert, we were finally brought two plates (we were four as I said) with the information that the other two were still in production. After another 20 minutes I politely asked where they were and got the answer that the cook was still "chatting" and I, if I wanted the dessert, should go ahead and let them know. At this point we were the second to last table that was still occupied in the room since the others had already left more than an hour ago (there were a total of 19 guests with us). Fortunately, I didn't have to follow the advice of the waitress because the cook brought the last two plates. As it turned out later, these had been in the kitchen from the start and could not be picked up due to miscommunication between the cook and the waitress (who was also the boss). I understand that miscommunication can sometimes occur, but there was enough time for both to consult and ask about the progress of the dessert, what could have solved the problem. When calculating, we noticed that the grappa was not included as previously assumed. This should have been communicated because it was brought to the table with the coffee and not on the menu. After protests from us, it was at least "waited" and we were able to go home after four hours of dinner.

Update: After we had an unfortunate experience with the operation of La Moka on May 22nd, the owner Eduardo and his wife Christiane contacted us by phone. After we had briefly investigated the events on the telephone, we were invited to a friendly conversation with the two. The conversation was very constructive, we were able to give the operators feedback and even take a little learning with us - next time we would say something instead of a bad rating. We sat together for a while with Eduardo and Christiane and ended the evening with one of the delicious wines from the shop. Very pleasant owner. Original rating: On May 22nd we went on a culinary wonder trip to la moka to enjoy the evening with friends at a 4-course chef’s dinner with wine accompaniment. The location was chosen sweetly and shortly after 7 p.m. the extremely friendly waitress started with a greeting, followed by the entree. This was followed by antipasti and a risotto. After the main course was finished around 8.30 p.m., a spectacle of waiter art began. La grande finale. We sat at the end of the room with five six tables and waited with 15 other guests for the last aisle. The first desserts were served at around 9 p.m. A delicious rhubarb compote with Italian baked goods. A layperson would think that the trick is not too complex. But the preparation of this superlative dessert apparently required special skill. It was another hour before we were able to get an idea of the handmade feast for ourselves. With many jealous glances at the neighboring tables. After the time iron had struck 10 p.m. we received two out of four desserts. An hour and a half after the main course. The others would be brought in immediately. In our flippant recklessness we naturally equated this "immediately" with "in the immediate future". A stupid faux pas on our part. The waitress joyfully joked with the guests at the neighboring table and another 30 minutes went into the country. We were almost the last people in the said establishment until their professional eye noticed that we still lacked two plates. She apologized politely and asked that we should go to the cook and point out the lack of our eagerly awaited dessert. Wow. We were impressed. Finally a restaurant where the guest can still join in and do the job of serving. A real "experience dinner" :-) Just then the cook brought the missing food (10:30 p.m.), with a clear red head and a quiet apology. Apparently the concept of the "interactive restaurant" was somewhat unpleasant for him retrospectively. After we had eaten ourselves at the dessert, the waitress came gently to our table. And also apologized for the delay - the cook had finished all the desserts at the same time, she just hadn't seen it and then forgotten it. You can only wish such open and honest service to every restaurant operator ;-) The four grappa that we wait after almost an hour and a half As an "apologetic greeting from the kitchen", we could only have the invoice deleted on request. A prime example of customer relationship management. All in all, the food and wine were quite satisfactory. For the price, which is already high for Neustadt standards, I also expect a certain level of professionalism from the staff.

I was last with my girlfriend at the pop-up dinner in the former Louisenbad. In addition to the nice atmosphere, we enjoyed a successful meal as usual. The four courses harmonized wonderfully with the wine accompaniment and once again showed "that it doesn't always have to be meat".

Luckily, my girlfriend and I decided to try the experiment pop-up restaurant with la moka. We had a very nice evening, with good food and good wine. Only good weather and a place in the garden on the Prießnitz would have been nice. But hopefully next time.

Last weekend my partner and I visited the "La moka at the river" pop-up event. After it was not possible to eat in restaurants for weeks because of the corona, we really enjoyed the evening! There were four delicious courses accompanied by a wine pairing. At my request, not to get wine pairing due to pregnancy, was wonderfully received and I got a delicious non-alcoholic alternative for each course. It was nice to be a guest with you again!

After weeks in Corona-Lockdon I was invited to the La Moka PopUp in the former Oosteinde. What a wonderful location and what a wonderful interplay of cook and place! If you did not know that the La Mokas also feel very comfortable in their actual place, you would wish them and yourself as a guest a future in the former Oosteinde! But for the evening and the delicious culinary delights: it was an all-round success, not too exhausting. Some basic elements that you expect as a German from an Italian evening (risotto), but reinterpreted completely. Other things were "missing", but this only led to new insights. It doesn't always have to be pasta! Add to that the very friendly service and the feeling of being in the right place at the right time. Gladly again!

Last Saturday we were guests at the La Moka popup dinner. Due to the weather, the whole thing unfortunately did not take place directly on the Priesnitz, but the cozy cellar vault of the Priesnitzgarten was also very nice as a location. A varied vegetarian 4-course menu was served, which we enjoyed very well. Even ingredients that are not otherwise on our menu (capers, green asparagus) were prepared so that they were real delicacies. The wines served were chosen very well and round off the menu well. The service was always courteous and attentive and made us feel welcome as guests - there was also a little history lesson about the location. The only small point of criticism: a reference on the card that many of the specialties and wines served could also be purchased in the shop belonging to the restaurant, would have been enough. It doesn't always have to be interspersed in a personal conversation on such an evening. Otherwise, it was a very successful evening, which we will repeat as soon as possible.

As a regular guest of all La Moka institutions (shop, restaurant) I have never been disappointed! La Moka stands for uniqueness, creativity, Italian charm, closeness and relationship with the customer. Even as a non-Dresden citizen, a visit to La Moka is a fixed part of the diary with every visit to Dresden. So I was particularly pleased about the invitation from good friends to the La Moka at the River pop-up event. A great idea to keep close to the customer even in times of restaurant renovation and to inspire again with creativity. Great, lovingly selected location, very attentive, friendly service, always a joke in stock. And of course a fascinating menu, incredibly tasty and sensationally presented! a very successful evening, which we would repeat immediately and can absolutely recommend! great gift idea! All thumbs up! 5 stars absolutely deserved! We will be back!

We were here on a nice summer evening half a year ago and had a magical evening. The staff was super friendly and took time for us and our questions. The food was so delicious that my husband would have loved to order a second portion;) Of course it is expensive and there are not many dishes. But there is quality and taste and meat for which you do not have to have a guilty conscience when eating. Unfortunately we do not live in Dresden, otherwise we would have been regular customers here for a long time!

La Moka has a nice setting in the courtyard, and it's a real improvement over the former establishment, Neustadter Diechl. I took my family and in-laws here expecting to treat them to something out of the ordinary. The serving staff were welcoming and friendly. The starters were quite good and well-priced, but the mains were really sub-par. It was the first time I've sent food back to the kitchen in years, as did most of our table and two of the tables around us. 24€ tuna steaks flavourless and cooked until dry and gray. Entrecote which was definitely not Entrecote cooked dead and completely unseasoned, chanterelles with a painful amount of salt. The manager tried to smooth things over, but was overtly intoxicated and reeked of cigarettes. Our server, who I tried to reassure had nonetheless been helpful and welcoming, told me it was our fault the kitchen had had such a terrible night, which was pretty unprofessional. I ended up paying for food that was was sent back and didn't return. Long story short, go for a nice aperitivo and a starter, forget the main dishes. If you want consistently good italian fare, go with Sapori around the corner, I've also heard Casina Rosa on Alaunstr. is quite good.

By far one of the best restaraunts in Dresden. The food and service are always exceptional, for both brunch and dinner. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and the owner is always around working with the staff to ensure all of the customers are happy. You can tell a lot of time and care go into everything. This is what every restaraunt should aspire to be.

Cozy little restaurant in a courtyard, run by an Italian gentlemen. This place has a great, warm and homely vibe to it. The menu is small and apparently is changed every few weeks. It includes some vegetarian dishes. The food we ordered was excellent both in taste and presentation – a cold plate for two people (olives, mozarella, sun-dried tomatoes, pickled onions, mushrooms, pumpkin mash and various other small bowls of tasty food. Together with a couple of glasses of Montepulciano and followed by a dessert of cheesecake with blueberries, this was a perfect light dinner in a great, warm and convivial atmosphere on a chill Dresden evening. Note: this is a small place – perhaps seating around twenty people.. For warmer evenings they also have outdoor seating. #LetsGuide #cozyrestaurant #vegetarian

Why go to Italy, if you can enjoy authentic, high-quality Italian food in Dresden. Everything from the attentive and friendly service, the cosy, candle-light atmosphere, to the superb food was perfection. The restaurant itself is a bit hidden, off the beaten track of Neustadt’s party streets, which adds even more to the intimate and cosy feel. The food is made with love and expertise. The staff there definitely know a thing or two about how to bring out the best flavours in a dish. I can confidently put this restaurant as one of my favourites in Dresden on my list.

Beautiful ambience, lovingly furnished and right in the center of the new town. The food is creative, but the taste is not outstanding, just fine. The tagliatelle with clams doesn't taste particularly good. The map is fortunately small and up-to-date and the prices are above average for the Neustadt.

Amazing little corner hidden in the heart of Neustadt's Szeneviertel. The coffee is probably the best in town and the cake is truly home-made, with lots of small lovely details like special unexpected ingredients or dried petals giving it some colour. The food offer is also particular different from other cafes and restaurants around. With Italian and French specialities, including vegetarian options.

This is my favorite restaurant in the neustadt. Different menu every day, always something new to try. The food is fantastic and the atmosphere relaxed and authentic. I always get the fish option, the chef has great taste in seafood. They are also happy to knock up a plate of simple pasta if you have kids with you. Highly recommended.
